The problem isn't that NFL teams knew or didn't know about it. The problem is the general public didn't know. Depending on the media spin (which hasn't been positive for Allen thus far) this hurts his perception with some fans.
Fan perception, not the perception of the NFL teams themselves, are what could cause Allen problems because some teams might avoid him to avoid fan backlash. Not saying that will for sure happen, but that's more likely to be a problem than just the teams knowing about it.
If NFL players have an issue with it, then it is an issue for a GM to take into consideration. That makes it a legitimate story.
If a team did try to tank him, for whatever reason, then then that also makes it a legitimate story.
That was the literal point to all of this. We can debate the merits of those things (I think white people telling minorities how they should feel about these things isn't the best take), but I chimed in because of the notion of the media being the boogeyman here.
Those tweets are lame. As in they themselves are lame, but more importantly the potential outrage over them is lame. His tweets are normal for somebody of his age.
