What I have against that projected pick is that Ward is 5'10". The Broncos would be spending
a premium pick to expand the stable of short CBs. Then these teams come to town with their
big receivers and have a field day. I may be wrong, but that's what I envision in my relatively
    uninformed state.

    Denver Broncos

Round 1 (12) Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State
Round 1 (22) Marcus Davenport, Edge, UTSA
    Round 2 (40) D.J. Chark, WR, LSU
Round 2 (56) Ronald Jones II, RB, USC
Round 3 (71) Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
Round 3 (99) Cole Madison, OG, Washington State
    Round 4 (106) Dane Cruikshank, S, Arizona
Round 4 (113) Davontae Harris, CB, Illinois State
Round 5 (149) Tim Settle, DT, Virginia Tech
Round 5 (160) Will Dissly, TE, Washington

    Nice!
Ward, Davenport, Chark, Jones, Rudolph and Settle.

    Barf!
Madison, Cruikshank, Harris (he’s a S, IMO) and Dissly.

Substitute Tarvarius Moore for Rudolph, Mike White for Madison, Will Richardson for Cruikshank, Holton Hill for Harris and Durham Smythe for Dissly.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Also, apparently Reuters sees Denver getting a 2nd round pick from Buffalo in addition to the Two #1’s.
I would like to see Vita Vea at the #12, Leighton Vander Esch #21 (if he's there), And Will Hernandez at #40.

Also have to take into consideration that Roby is a free agent after this year and we may not be able to afford his price tag if he has a big year. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a back-up plan. Especially one that isn't 32 years old.

Honestly, I don't think either one of them is likely to trade out.

If Roby has a big year, they'll find a way to sign him at his age. Truly top CBs are a hard find.

Fair enough...but then you end up with close to 50 mil in cap space dedicated to two corners and an OLB.

I’ve been trying to find ways Denver/Elway will **** this up, Peter King mentioned trading all the way down to 15 with the Cards ... that oughta just about do it.

    Draft
    1st round— Cooper Dejean CB
    2nd round— Jack Sawyer OLB
    3rd round— Will Shipley RB
    4th round— Ricky Pearsall WR
    5th round— Ladd McKonkey WR
    6th round— Cash Jones RB
    7th round— Carson Steele RB

Hernandez never makes it past Lions at 20 in these mocks.

Depends. In that scenario, I have to imagine Elway demands Arizona's 2019 first round pick...which could be top 5 as well. Their division is tough and their non-division schedule is tougher. Obviously, things have to play out, but on paper, I could see them winning only 4 or 5 games.

Yes, it's likely he won't be there. But the draft is pretty deep at guard, so the Broncos should
do okay in that scenario. I can't dictate to them whom they're going to take, anyway.

This year we need to stay put at 5. We cant mess this draft up. How often to we get to pick in the top 5? Stay put and get someone that can actually make a difference on this team.

    Chris Harris agrees with you.

The defense wanted TS to start. Imagine if we had done the smart thing and actually developed the first round QB. No matter what, we'd have been in a better spot, either by having a real QB, being in a better position to draft a real QB, or knowing that the QB we drafted was worth continued development.

The defense, in all of it's ******* intellect, is so shortsighted it's not even funny. The same 'we're trying to win right now' with a 5-11 team that has gotten worse each year, as has the defense, is just an echoing of absurdity.

I thank God everyday that you're not in charge of the Broncos.
