I predict the P*triots take Ryan Nall and Justin Watson with their 1st round picks.

I think there is a chance that they go up and get Rosen.

Default I hate a few of these picks but I could live with this draft just fine.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...t-team-by-team

    Denver Broncos

Round 1 (12) Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State
Round 1 (22) Marcus Davenport, Edge, UTSA
    Round 2 (40) D.J. Chark, WR, LSU
Round 2 (56) Ronald Jones II, RB, USC
Round 3 (71) Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
Round 3 (99) Cole Madison, OG, Washington State
    Round 4 (106) Dane Cruikshank, S, Arizona
Round 4 (113) Davontae Harris, CB, Illinois State
Round 5 (149) Tim Settle, DT, Virginia Tech
Round 5 (160) Will Dissly, TE, Washington

    Nice!
Ward, Davenport, Chark, Jones, Rudolph and Settle.

    Barf!
Madison, Cruikshank, Harris (he’s a S, IMO) and Dissly.

Substitute Tarvarius Moore for Rudolph, Mike White for Madison, Will Richardson for Cruikshank, Holton Hill for Harris and Durham Smythe for Dissly.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Also, apparently Reuters sees Denver getting a 2nd round pick from Buffalo in addition to the Two #1’s.

come on, chazzy! i miss 'qib too, but it doesn't do us any good to pout over him. . . he's gone. . . what are they supposed to do, just keep his spot open indefinitely as an act of mourning? ward would be a steal at twelve. . . if we do move back, you won't have to worry about it, cuz he won't be there. . .

Nah, I’d rather pout over him.

i hear ya. . . i think it was a dumb, soft move. . . he ain't comin' back, though, and we're gonna need another corner in case langley doesn't develop. . . if people don't want ward at five, i'm fine with that-- he's about my 8th choice there, too. . . bitching about any possibility of getting him at twelve is flat silly, though. . . free agency is pretty much done, it's a zero sum game now. . . i want them to get the best guys they can for the team's future, regardless of any lingering butthurt over prior moves that i don't agree with. . . ya know?

I'm not pouting over Talib, I just think building a team that way is extremely dumb. If we traded talib because Roby has matured enough to be the man then let him be the man. Spending a high draft pick to replace what we already have/had pisses me off.

i do get where you're coming from, and i'm not saying you're wrong. . . i do think you're kind of ignoring the fact that the draft isn't all about this year, though. . . roby IS going to replace aqib this year, and they used part of that cap space to give chris harris a badly-needed raise. . . if they draft denzel ward or minkah fitzpatrick, they aren't taking him to take 'qib's spot this year-- they're drafting the guy to be a badass foundation of our defensive backfield for the next ten years. . . talib might have a year or two left at high a high level, max. . . and elway had to think on it overnight before deciding not to fire vance-- he's not pushing all in for this year. . . he would have been more aggressive freeing up cap space to go after impact free agents if that was the case. . .

I'd rather have Fitzpatrick. He's a ball hawk.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.
