    Default T's backyard

Not sure anyone cares, but since I don't want to annoy anyone on Facebook and want to post them somewhere, here it is.

So, as I start my life as a retired forum admin, I will focus on a new career as a budding nature photographer.

My house backs on to a strip of woods between me an a river, and I planted a small clover patch at the edge last year. There are farm fields in the river bottoms on the other side of the river.

I took these Sunday afternoon. I think I crushed the detail a bit trying to make them small enough to post.

But I do have to ask, have you cleaned up the poodle poop?

The internet has been both a blessing and a curse for photography. It has been a blessing by opening it up to the multitudes on a greater level and has been amazing for learning the finer aspects of the art but it has absolutely killed how we look at photos. A printed photo is 1000000000xs better looking than anything you will ever see online, tragically printing is a dying art.

It's on the side yard, and I will say my previous poodles, minis, crap a lot less and smaller than my current standard poodles.

Yea. Even trying to get anything printed now is mostly digital with varying degrees of quality from what I can see.

That first one is pretty cool how you caught it in motion!

Blind luck. I was snapping some still photos and then he started flying. Not sure the shutter was quite right for the action shot. Like the motion wings, but wish the face was clearer (a little better in the not so shrunk version).

Still learning how to use a real camera, since all I've used my entire life until recently were point and shoots.

These are some I took last year. With the food plot just coming back to life, the winter has been pretty devoid of wildlife.

    A Hasselblad H5D-200c, with a 800mm Zeiss lens.

j/k I googled most expensive camera and that came up.

I have a Nikon D5500 and mostly use an FX Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6.

Not knowing what I was doing, I got a crop sensor camera, which is OK I guess for the wildlife shots, since it sort of blows things up. Once I figured things out, I've bought FX lenses, even though I have a DX camera figuring my next body will be an FX.

North central Arkansas. Kind of the foothills of the ozarks, so rolling hills. Small town, and I live a bit out of town, so while I live in a community, we are surround by farms, forest, river, golf course, etc.
