Default Which is the higher priority for this draft, wide receiver or tight end?

i think it's very likely that we could draft one of each within our first three or four picks, but of course you only have a couple high picks to work with. . . which position would prioritize higher? discuss. . .

That's a tough one. For WR's, we have two good ones, but they are aging. For TE, we have a nice prospect in JB, but other than that the depth and talent is pretty poor, jmo.

I think I'll say WR, though, just because they seem to take forever and a day to develop.

I'd say a tight end. Having a damn good tight end will open more lanes for those WOs.

TE. I think TE is more important to draft and develop, it seems there are always good WRs available in free agency. Good TEs aren't let loose too often and have a lot of suitors when they are.

It's slipping my mind, but who was the TE when Manning was lighting it up?

Yes. Look how important Julius, and Dallas Clark, were to Manning during his career. I guess a person could say the Broncos needs a 'Manning' to make a TE that good.

But, I believe those 2 TEs opened the game for the WOs like Harrison and DT.

No doubt. We need help on OL, QB, TE, RB. Basically, our entire offense aside from DT and ES.

They probably should try to get at least one of each. They need a solid third receiving option in the slot and they need a weapon at tight end, none of this blocking-first shit. But, they need more help on the line and at middle linebacker, safety...yeah, there's some holes. Probably need to take another QB somewhere too.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Looking toward 2020 and beyond, WR is barren. But it's not as important as a TE who is a weapon mismatch. I'd say TE on the basis of talent required for a bona fide mismatch.

Tight End due to positional scarcity. There's plenty of good wide receivers but few good tight ends.
