Keenum and Thielen had some sort of sixth sense thing going that I'm not sure he can replicate in Denver. It's as if they always knew where the other would be. I don't think Thielen was a high draft choice either. That's why I laugh about the "stacked" comment. Maybe the OL was good but Thielen, Diggs, Rudolph and McKinnon were all nobodies before last year. If Keenum was a scrub, how did all these other guys suddenly get better with him?
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Thielen was undrafted. But he's good. Real good. But I'm with you in that Keenum can
have the same chemistry especially with Emmanuel, who is very good at that.

If you watch Rudolph closely, however, it would be easy to say that Keenum made
Rudolph better. Which gives some hope for our present TE corps . . .

At least Coach is reasonable in admitting that the Vikings feel that Cousins is the better option which makes total sense based on their respective resumes.
I think you're stuck on the whole MN didn't want him, so he must be crap.

I don't know what either QB will do next year. Nor does anyone else. I just find it frustrating all the hate Keenum has received before he even takes a single snap for the Broncos.

I have been vocal that I didn't think Cousins was worth the money he received (or was going to receive before signing anywhere).

Where you and I depart is not forming opinions before they actually play the games with their new teams.

Meh, big assumption based on nothing but paper. Denver had the 30th ranked Oline last year compared to the Vikings who were ranked 8th. For whatever faults the Viking Oline had it was still far better than Denver's and until we see how it performs this year you cant really make that assertion.

Was our Oline so bad last year because of the QB who couldn't get out of his own way? An offense that was being called by someone who was fired 1/2 way through the season?

Tebow had success with DT and Decker, why wasnt Tebow a better QB? Im not sure using that argument means that Bridgewater and Bradford are great QB's either.

Wait. What? DT and Decker were already proven before Tebow. Not so much on the Vikings receivers. And why even bring up Tebow? His production in the passing game is lightyears away (in the wrong direction) from Keenum.

EDIT: I'm wrong on this point - at least for DT. But he wasn't anything special until we got a real QB. Decker had already had a 1,000+ season with the Jets, and damn close on a 2nd.

Again, no one said he was coming to a shit team. Not sure where you even got that.

What hole have you been living under? Many people here have been saying what Coach inferred.

You keep ignoring what I pointed out, or you keep missing it.

Minnesota ranked fairly high in not allowing sacks. But they were dead last in the league
in allowing pressures. Keenum was pressured 35% of the time. Yet he was sacked only
22 times. (Minn QBs were sacked 27 times, but 22 were on Keenum.) Allowing pressures
is totally on the offensive line. Sacks not so much. Yes, part of it is on the line, but much
of it is on the QB himself. How well does he avoid sacks? How well does he do under
    pressure?

Well, if he was pressured so much with so few sacks, the small number of sacks cannot
be attributed to the O-line. That was all Keenum. Moreover, Keenum had the highest QBR
while under pressure among all the QBs, edging out Tom Brady, who was #2.

To be clear, i never said BETTER option. More like alluding to PREFERRED option.

Didn't Elway admit they tried it to get Keenum 2 years ago?

Yes. They tried to trade for him.

Im asking because I think it's worth highlighting. Denver identifies this guy and believes in him before he has a good year, meanwhile Minnesota doesnt appreciate what's right in front of them. In this scenario, I don't know why Minnesota's opinion is being placed above Denvers keeping in mind that Denver is also considering cost relative to performance.

Its also probably fair to point out that scapegoating of Keenum could have been taking place with Minnesota letting Keenum walk. In the NFC championship game, it was Minnesota's defense that was the bigger disappointment. They were getting torched. In this scenario, it's easy for a proud defensive coach like Zimmer to scapegoat Keenum when he never bought in.

Diggs was a nobody? Rudolph earned an extension before CK graced him with his presence.

The hits just keep on coming.

Joe, I don’t think it’s possible to live “under” a hole.

Apparently CK is so good he got Kyle Rudolph some Pro Bowls and a nice contract back in ‘14.

Lololololol Diggs had more yards before CK.

    Why, because of this?

You've glossed over and ignored a whole lot more than this . . .

For example? Hoof is who I was responding to. I’m not reading your Joel posts Top, I have a firm grasp of what CK really is.
