    Default Assassin's 2018 Mock

    Round 1.5
    Quenton Nelson, G, Notre Dame

Time to start mauling folks and the 1 QB I do like will be gone by 5.

    Round 2.40
    Donte Jackson, CB, LSU

CB depth is a concern. I'd love Michel here, but A) he's likely gone and B) there are more RBs than CBs in this draft.

    Round 3.71
Rashaad Penny, RB, San Diego State

I will also allow any answer including Guice, Chubb or Kelly here.

    Round 3.99
    DeSean Hamilton, WR, Penn State

Time to start getting serious about having quality young WRs. Hamilton can ball.

    Round 4.106
    Mike White, QB, Western Kentucky

LOVE this kid. Would take him earlier if needed. Definitely who I want if we deal Lynch as QB3. His Pros are very solid for someone who only really played 1 year HS football. His Cons are minimal. He will take some sacks. That's why we get Nelson first.

    Round 4.113
    Micah Kiser, LB, Virginia

All around good player and we could use another LB. Also like Nwosu of USC, but probably gone here.

    Round 5.149
    Deontay Burnett, WR, USC

I mean it. Time to get serious about WR.

    Round 5.160
    BJ Hill, DL, NC State

    Position flexibility along dline.

    Flame away...

Need to take a QB even if they decide to keep PL, imo, CK is a limp-wristed attempt to solve a huge problem.

I'd love that draft. Gonna need another ILB somewhere though

That first round pick makes me so sad. The rest is fine. I also hate the QB you want to draft. The third round pick is pretty, though.

So, I hear some folks say we have no TE and can't count on Butt. Others sail through the entire draft without taking a TE. Please explain who will be the TE for next year. Isn't Victor Green a free agent (and a below-average TE besides)? Are we betting Heuerman finally breaks through? I'll hang up and listen.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

I like Jake Butt ans there have been reports that Mercedes Lewis is getting a look.

The Virginia LB could move inside.

Von...what do you hate about White?

Kizer is the best pick in outside of Nelson. Other than that I'm not sold on the other guys selected. Not so much the positions just the choices and where you took them. Also, we still have DT and Sanders. Investing that much into that position at this time is kind of silly. IMO.

Good mock SA. Nelson at 5 makes it a win from the start. I do think Elway drafts a tackle at some point this year. Penny would be a nice addition to the running back stable, but I'm not sure he's there in the third. Deontay Burnett is one of my sleepers. He reminds me of a young Emmanuel Sanders. Nice pick in the 5th.

    NOt bad.

We are targetting a ILB early. I do not know how early but I know that it is where they want to go with a high pick. I doubt that means 5. But second or 3rd round for sure.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I'm looking at recent history of winners in the NFL. The teams with 1 stud aren't winning real games. The teams who have weapons 3-6 that defenses can't cover are winning. Atlanta has Julio, but they also have 2 very solid RBs and a handful or WRs who matchup well. NE and Philly have no real stars at RB or WR. Gronk helps but he's not reliable. We need many more weapons IMO.

This is not a prediction...just what Id like to see.

We won't find a coverage LB very early. Nwosu is the only guy I see and he would be a reach in round 2...maybe even 3

Penny could easily be gone. But I'll gladly take Guice, Chubb or Kelly.

Michel is who I want but I think someone gets him in round 1.
