Filters and plugs are a little bit different depending on the maintenance schedule, but thats one of the first things i would do if it hasnt been done before. Especially if the car runs a little rough or hesitates.

Fram sucks
I'm due for some new tires this fall - what kind should I get?
I've been happy with Contis when they come on sale.

By "how do you drive" I meant mostly highway, stop and go, light to light, enjoy a better handling tire for driving faster in the mountains, you still have a truck I assume, etc?
Driving style and requirements, climate, etc are the determining factors in what tires you should get more so than a brand name just to stick with a family tire or something.
Yeah I was being a smart ass because you started it!
Basically I want an all season tire. Something that is going to give me traction in the snow in the winter and peace of mind going over slick mountain passes, but that I won't have to change out in the spring and summer. I don't drive nearly as much as I used to - but will log a fair bit of interstate miles, so it can't be some super tread off road tire or anything.
What’s the best tire for getting up underneath grandpa and driving him into the rail?
