I don’t doubt your affinity for Lincoln’s. I hated mine. I traded it in for a Scion.
You should have got two and driven them both off a cliff.

It was a POS and it’s as representative of Ford quality as the ones you’ve owned are, which is to say they’re not really. Every company has outliers. I’ve now owned three Cadillacs and required two repairs between the three. My Ford? More than that in a month with the Ford I owned.

I wouldn't mind a Mercedes or Audi, but they don't have the greatest reliability numbers.

    Anyone had one of these?

I bought a few Cadillacs during their low years with their 4x6x8 v8 and ht4100 mistakes. They should have rebranded Pontiac 4.9s instead of aggressively rushing into production motor lines that were not ready.

Bring the worn out ones back where you bought them and, if they’re worn out, they’ll replace them. They know they wear, they just don’t care because more people buy them assuming they’re better because of the bullshit warranty than people that actually use the warranty.

Ford has had some rough years. I like the F150 mostly because of the cab configuration and how quiet the ride is.

I didn’t really want another 5.4 because of the issues with cam phasers, but getting a model with the 3.5 twin turbo or the 5.0 v8 was not an option in my budget. I’m a Ford guy so I was comfortable getting another 5.4 because I know what to listen for to determine if there’s a cam phaser issue on the horizon. I also was open to the Chevy 5.3 because they outperform the 5.4 by a fair amount, but to get one in my budget I was looking at motors with over 120k Miles (plus I like the ford cab configuration quite a bit more). Fortunately I was able to get an 09’ 5.4 with only 80k miles on it, and I could tell by the sound of the motor and the appearance of the interior the truck was well cared for and I should be able to get a lot of mileage out of it.
The newer ford motors are pretty sweet, but I’m probably a few years away from being able to afford one. My buddy has the twin turbo v6 full crew cab 4wd and he gets 16-17 around town, and he has a lead foot. He’ll get over 20 on a road trip. This comes with 375 horsepower. The 5.0 has very similar performance.

My mechanic himself had an A8 with nothing but problems. My friends VW was always messed up. German imports expensive to repair and usually need a specialist mechanic.

Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.

My Mini made me want to steer clear of Bavarian Motor Works. Blast to drive, expensive to keep on the road.
