I feel bad for Bridgewater. You just know the Jets are going to do stupid Jets things.

Well, they did just trade up to the 3rd pick, so any hope of him getting a legitimate chance to restart his post-injury career is very slim. If he does get a chance to start so whoever the Jets take can sit and learn, he better play like Elway in his prime right out of the gate or he'll get a quick hook.

I'm disappointed the Billy Turner resigning didn't make the best deals list.

If Bridgewater proves he's healthy (which can be done in pre-season) and the Jets grab a QBOTF with the third pick (almost guaranteed), he may find his time with the Jets is a short one. He'll either get traded or cut. His worst situation is if he has to mentor the new rookie all year.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

If we're going to draft a QB at 5. If not, Keenum was the right guy. Worst case scenario...if the team starts off losing badly, Elway can fire Joseph with a clear conscience. Then again, that might be the best case scenario.

We signed DeBerg just before Elway was brought to town.

I don’t see why people thing signing a journeyman to a 2 year contract signals we don’t draft a qb at 5. It tells me it’s very likely.

    But, we didn't draft Elway.

Because the QB class next year should be pretty good as well.

I was 100% sure we were going to trade up for Rosen this year, but with the Jets moving to 3, I think we now wait and see. If Rosen or Baker are there we may take them at 5, if not, I see us moving down if the bills or fish want to move up and we go hard for a QB next year. (or Pax or Kelly show they have what it takes)....

Ive updated my sig with what I think it may look like.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I think we give Paxton a year where he doesnt have to compete for a starter role...ad see what Kelly has. If nothing, then we look at the draft next year. or maybe Keenum is who he was last year and we keep him long term. Just not a fan of NOT building around him considering the guarantees in his contract.

Im with you there. I am not a keenum fan as a player. I think he is meh so I dont want to build around him unless he does click. If so, we can build around him but still should nab a young QB if we can.

That said, if Rosen were to fall to 5 I think we take him.
