yea, i think jimmy's going back to nawlins. . . fine with me, let them pay him-- he's worth more there than he is anywhere else. . . i'd rather save our cap space. . . jimmy has been banged up a lot lately-- he still plays at a high level, but i think it's fair to wonder how many really strong years he has left. . . i'd be all about it if we still had an aging PFM, but graham's a luxury we don't really need at the moment. . . we're cutting older vets to free up cap space as it is, no point bringing in more of them. . . get a younger second-tier guy like burton or ASJ, and draft another one in the middle rounds in case J-booty doesn't pan out. . . but i'd like to see what he can contribute before spending big bucks at that position. . . save our free agent dollars for spots like OT and corner. . . and if we don't sign cousins, i'm all for saving as much cap space as we can to roll over to 2019, when we hopefully come back with a better coach, and re-stocked roster. . . draft a rookie QB, let him take his lumps under VJ, and have a chunk of cap space to put more pieces around your new QB in '19. . . for this year, i think we can get by with a competent vet at TE-- just give me a guy who can catch the ball on third down and function as a chain mover. . .

I’d say Graham and Watson and only hold onto Butt

    Jenkins or Eifert.

Time for Green to go unless he is willing to take peanuts and just come in to block and play special teams. It's obvious he will never contribute as a receiver.

Burton. Him and Butt would/could add a dynamic element to the passing game and either could play the Y...which somewhat eliminates the need to spend a bunch of money on a true slot receiver.

Eifert will never be available for a full season and ASJ, while looking better now that he is sober, still hasnt played to his potential.

Ill take Niles Paul. Cheap and good.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I would be surprised to see John pay for a TE - it's not really his style. Still think we're using the draft - AGAIN - while hoping to get a useful weapon, and taking the Penn ST TE Gesicki as the new Orange Julius. Dark horse on Goedert, but I would be very surprised if the Broncos don't come out of this draft with the "Big WR" type of TE, and they got a good look at Gesicki at the Senior Bowl.

Gesicki and Butt together could be nice security for any QB in the passing game. Wouldn't mind trading for a tackle, drafting a guard, and adding a TE as inline talent. Butt is the blocker who can catch in that scenario while either Gesicki or Goedert are the bigger mismatches against LBs and safeties, but it would provide options. Options are nice - if the QB has time to get around to examining them.
