Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is like losing family.

Was it Pyometra, or something like that?

Vet explained it to wife so not positive. Essentially what I know is she had an infection in the uterus from being in heat and it spread to her blood stream.

She was just in heat a couple of weeks ago so it was fast.

She gave no warning. She was absolutely fine, even yesterday. Let her outside, running around, all is good.

It was probably an hour and 15 minutes total from going out side to use the bathroom and being fine to being dead.
