I was hoping one of the old draft heads would get the reference. He's going to be a good player. He also plays RB. There are as talented players at more important positions. If we aren't taking a QB, taking a RB or a guard will drive me insane. For the love of god I hope it's a pass rusher or a CB.

If Mayfield played for another school, would you still hate him?

If he was a random dude walking into a bar I would hate him.

Larry Johnson was pretty good until the Chiefs rode him hard and put him away wet and he broke.

I have to think if Cleveland is dumb enough to take Barkley at 1, Cleveland will burn worse than NY. Cleveland has never since their re-establishment as a franchise, had a franchise QB. Before that, it was Bernie Kosar. Before that... Otto Graham? If they pass up their pick of this class to “settle” for whoever’s left at 4 for a RB, they are officially the worst franchise in history. Barkley will be there at 4 if they want him. Bank it. They won’t draft Barkley at 4, either. If they don’t trade down, they’ll take Nelson or Chubb. That’s my gut feeling.

But it's not like they haven't tried. They just either suck at evaluating talent ala Weeden and Johnny Football or took a guy before the team is ready to support him ala Couch.

I don't want Barkley at 5...but I'll sure as hell take the Guard. If Buffalo wants to give 12 and 21, I'll gladly take the Tackle at 12 and hope another Guard drops to 22. Fix the damn line and then build around it.

    chargers sign C mike pouncey

two years, fifteen mil. . . gives them another competent OL to plug into that walking MASH unit of a line. . . on paper, i definitely think they're the class of the division going into the season, but no one will be surprised if they find a way to charger it up-- it's kind of what they do. . .
