I trust Musgrave, he did wonders with Carr, but he's right, our coaching staff sans Musgrave really sucks a lot. I'm not sure I could trust VJ to not screw it up somehow with or without Musgrave in charge of the offense.

Musgrave is wonderful with QBs. The one I'm not familiar with, however, is QBs coach Mike Sullivan,
who will be spending every minute of every practice with the QBs. The last one was replaced for a
reason. I hope the same reason, or some other reason, doesn't exist with him . . .

I actually forgot about Sully, he worked with Eli in 2010 and was cited as a big reason for his success that year (4,00 yards, 62.9 comp percentage, ect...) He's not got a huge body of work outside of that one single year though. He went from there to Tampa Bay until 2014 when he returned to New York for 2015-2017. He's not really done anything meaningful aside from that one year with Eli.

Sullivan apparently was Eli's QB coach during his best years.

Whether that translates to anything...who knows.

Well, the coach can make a tremendous difference. Remember Jake Plummer? He was pretty
wild, though good sometimes, until Kubiak took him under his wing in 2005. Then he had
that near record string of passes without an inteception, and the team went 13-3 with him.
Then Kubes left, and Jake regressed to a degree.

How Keenum does with the Broncos, and maybe even how Lynch develops, may depend on
the coaching staff. I have my fingers crossed.

lol - me forgot. Actually, the whole offense improved when Musgrave stepped up as OC.
That's the one who was replaced "for a reason."

Haha, yes, this is absolutely true. He was replaced for a reason, because he was a far better OC than Mike McCoy

Quite honestly, from what I'm hearing of Mayfield, he might ready to start right away. There is nothing wrong Musgrave. He was a good quarterback's coach and I think he will be good offensive coordinator.
