The Ginormous fly in your ointment is that with Shanahan that already happened, and with Elway that has NOT yet in fact happened. He might actually turn things around. It's not inevitable that he'll continue to screw up the draft. This year he could get it right.

Shanatan actually turned it around wth the ‘06 and ‘08 drafts, I was critical of his firing. He was fired 4 years too late.

So he should have been fired before he got Plummer and took the team to 13-3 and the AFC Championship in 2005? Or right after that sesason?

It's different because of being in the five spot. For instance, Broncos are close enough to trade up to one. While unlikely, Broncos are generally never in that position.

Like I said, when healthy, he's pretty good. I think if we can get him healthy, he's going to be a good pickup, if not, obviously it's a wasted pick.

Even his '17 down year headed better than all our RTs and LGs, and if I remember correctly, our LT.

Let this one sink in - the negative posters have been running the score up on the positive posters for two seasons in regards to the team.
