The more I look into it, the more I like this. Not a lot of downside, if he doesn't work out, he doesn't work out, if he does work out, he may not replace Roby's production in moving from #3 to #2, but he's depth at a position we are clearly lacking depth at so, all in all, this is a great move.

He's not the greatest option, but the fa market isn't great and we are super thin at lb right now. Hopefully we can work something out.

Haha, well, that was quick.

Sounds like per Charles Robinson full $36 Mil is guaranteed for injury. $25M guaranteed for skill and cap. Nothing just yet on how the cap hit plays out per year, however, just looking at averages the cap hit is $12.5 per year. Obviously not concrete info, but if it's really in the ball park of counting $12.5 towards cap, I'll relent and say this was an ok signing (though still not my ideal choice) and if we draft Mayfield or Rosen at #5 I might even be upgraded to happy with this.

Spoken to a few people in #Broncos building. They feel good about how QB situation landed. They’re giving Keenum a legit shot. His deal is for two years and $36 million. Denver guaranteed full $36 mil for injury, $25 million for skill & cap. Stronger guarantee than many assumed

Elway is known for sleight-of-hand. This year's QB class is devoid of an Andrew Luck, and I think
he will see that. I would be mildly surprised to see him draft a QB with the #5 now. Look for
Quentin Nelson to join the Broncos. You heard it here first.
