Do you believe VJ gets better, or is he gonna have a repeat of last year?
You are really trying hard to find someone that thinks VJ will get better

Why is MO such a big Mayfield fanatic?

He doesn't believe in the kid's mental acumen or mindset. To his point, if BM doesn't have that going for him, his grit, arm talent, mobility, and work ethic won't mean much.

Gut feeling. Plus he's a midget with less of an arm than the other top quarterbacks, bad footwork and I question his decision making, especially in the heat of the moment. I want my blockheads to play defense.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Soon as they draft him let’s start the “Switch Mayfield to S” narrative, we haven’t had one of those in ages.

Oh, so you want to Eric Crouch and Scott Frost him?

    Interesting idea.

Not quite as bold as Champ Bailey-ing him but let’s be honest ... Baker Mayfield.

Bunch of QBs, extremely highly-touted RB... swap a lineman in there and that's about where this draft is.

And then at the end of that you've got a CB who could lock it down for a decade. If you're rebuilding the No Fly Zone, he's your guy. Like you said, he can do basically anything. He mixes versatility with top-shelf skill. If you wanted another shot at Champ Bailey, and a replacement for Talib, this is your shot. Problem is we saw what happened with Champ Bailey going to waste.

I won't be unhappy if Denver manages to land Fitzpatrick, depending on the circumstance. How you gonna be upset about landing an All-Pro skillset who would be tutored by the swiss-army-knife-in-chief of the No Fly Zone, Chris Harris?

But it would leave other gaping holes. That's the problem with screwing up the draft multiple years in a row and blowing top picks on worthless QBs: it means you have multiple holes to fill.
The problem I will have if we draft Fitzpatrick is that all I'll be able to think about is the fact that when the season ended we had one of the best CBs on the planet AND the 5th overall pick in the draft and now we have a rookie CB. Oh, and we still have shitty OL.
    Let's Rid3!!!!

The safest pick listed here isn't safe. If he's just a good guard, it was a bad pick. The position you play matters, and no team does a strict BPA otherwise we'd see more kickers in the first round, for instance.

At worst case for any team taking him is he turns into the next Jonathan Cooper. No one remembers Cooper, but he was the last guard that was 'the best prospect ever' and 'the type of guard that is worth taking in the top ten'.
