Default Northman's Favorite 100 Rock Songs of All time Podcasts

So ive decided to do a 5 part podcast series spotlighting my favorite rock songs of all time. I know there are many songs that i have left out and more than one from some of these artists but if i did them all i might be doing my top 500 rock songs and that would take even longer. Lol

The songs cover a wide spectrum of rock with everything from classic rock to hair/hard rock to alternative/post rock.

I also wouldnt worry to much about where they a ranked because on any given day it probably would change but i did the best i could with how i felt at this time. While i do make some comments about the songs i dont get overly talkative because i want the focus (as i do on all my podcasts) to be the music itself. So if any of you are interested in checking this out feel free to either download the file or listen to it on the podcast page at your leisure.

This is part I, i am going to try and do the rest of them this week (hopefully i can get 2 of them done tomorrow) and before the weekend. Enjoy peeps!

Man I wouldn't even know where to begin on a Top 100 list. Interested to see where it goes.

In the meantime you've inspired me to crank up this bitchin jam -

I know where I'd start, I'm just not sure where I'd go from there.

I reject the notion of DMB being "rock."

While id quibble with different song, I have to see the full list to really comment. For me Smells Like Teen Spirit would be much higher, but criteria for the judgment of songs probably plays a big role in that.

Autograph- Turn up the Radio being on a top anything list made me lol.

I like the list so far North. Good mix of bands represented.

Do keep in mind as i stated originally that these are personal favorites and that where they are ranked could easily change from day to day. But no worries, Missy didnt like my list at all and how i had them ranked as she said she wanted nothing to do with this list. She was incredibly perturbed by me having Radiohead on there. lmao

It's all subjective, but Smells Like Teen Spirit was genre defining. I'm not even a huge Nirvana fan but based on pedigree and importance alone I'd personally rank it Top 25 or Top 10 easily. Good list though! I'm too lazy to make a podcast, so I will sit here and snipe your list instead!

North, I hope you don't mind that I'm stealing this idea of yours!! If I ever get around to recording it, it's going to be called something like: 36 songs you may not know that changed me, and the stories behind them. I just finished the list, now gotta carve out some time to produce the thing.

I dig what you got going on here.
