Default TJ Ward arrested for Mary Jane Possession

    http://nfltraderumors.co/buccaneers-...ion-marijuana/

Maybe something like this had to do with part of his exit from us? Just speculation of course.

Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Buccaneers S T.J. Ward was arrested at 8:11 a.m Wednesday morning in Tampa Bay on a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge.

According to Auman, Ward has already been released on $2,500 bond.

Ward, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Browns back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract with the Browns before signing a four-year, $22.5 million contract that included $13.5 million guaranteed with the Broncos in 2014.

I don't understand why anyone gets arrested over this anymore. Even if it's not legal in that state it's a misdemeanor, why arrest the man? Seize it, give him a ticket. Or, make it legal.

Probably has to to with the amount he had on him I would guess.

Update from Tampa: Ward's arrest today was on outstanding warrant from this incident. It was felony, not misdemeanor.

To correct point from earlier tweet, Ward was not home on Oct. 25 when police responded to alarm at his Tampa apartment. Woman there allowed police in, denied ownership of marijuana "in plain view," said it was Ward's.

Arrest report from October 25 states Bucs safety T.J. Ward had 99.9 grams of marijuana in glass jars. Admitted to police he "occasionally smoked" and admitted ownership of "brass grinder containing marijuana residue."

Default NFL's T.J. Ward Arrested Over 99 Grams of Weed

Tampa Bay Bucs safety T.J. Ward had 99.9 grams of weed in plain sight when cops entered his apartment back in October ... and that's ultimately why he was arrested Wednesday morning.

TMZ Sports obtained the criminal report from the Oct. 25 incident -- that shows cops responded to Ward's apartment for an active intrusion alarm at 4:45 PM.

When cops arrived, they knocked on the door and announced themselves -- a woman inside the place told the officers to "come in."

Just one problem ... cops say all the weed was in plain view on a coffee table. Oops.
rest - interesting, and not a very flattering mug shot

Simple assault, family violence, prostitution and public intoxication are all also misdemeanors that we have been...I mean can be arrested for

A felony charge for 3.5 ounces of weed is absurd. We should learn from our Canadian brethren on this topic.
