    Fitting conclusion.

At least now we know that Mayfield will show up to the Senior Bowl. I was worried that he wouldn't if he won the national championship.

Bama-Clemson has a lot to live up to after this game.

Don't be a fool. Mayfield is my guy. You can't let it come down to a field goal attempt.

Oklahoma lost that in the first OT. You hold Georgia to a FG and you have your Heisman trophy winner hand it off 3 times?

Anybody but Alabama please. Go Clemson and Georgia!

Great season for Mayfield. I'm going to enjoy watching him in the pre draft process. Him and Lamar are the two wildcards in this draft.

Most OU fans were complaining that OU got to conservative in OT.

Running 3 straight times when you have the Heisman trophy winning QB. That's like throwing at the goal line in the super bowl when you have Beast Mode.

Gotcha! The way you worded made it seem like you were blaming Mayfield.

Lets see if Bryant can be as good as Watson.

So, other thoughts on Mayfield? Ultimate competitor, will to win, and great leader. He came up short, but I wouldn't put this loss on him. His coaches went conservative in the first OT and didn't even give the kid a chance to win the game.

The Rose Bowl thread morphs into the Sugar Bowl thread, right?
