Agreed. Shanahan was the guy I wanted. McVay was a close second.

So, how many people say there's no chance he gets better yet make the argument that McDouchenozzle can get better in Indy?

with only a couple of teams left without HCs, i'm holding out hope that frank reich or john d. phillipo from the eagles will still be available next year when we need to hire another coach. . .


it's gonna be tough for me to muster any enthusiasm for broncos football this coming season with leader of men returning. . .

You can have one without the other. One guy culd be so hopeless that he can't get better, and one guy who sucked can improve.

Hope that VJ improves.

I want VJ to improve. It means good things for the BRONCOS like winning.

I personally hope he turns into a HOF coach.

Let's be real guys, could he really get worse? I mean, are we gonna have our punt returner in 2018 muff 10 returns before we pull him? Call all timeouts before the 1st snap? Help me out here....

Bill Bellichick has been dominant for years because he has absolutely mastered situational football. There is literally no scenario where he isn't already 3 steps ahead from an optimal strategy standpoint...

I just didn't get the feeling that VJ is anywhere near that level of master tactician this year. His idiotic timeouts at the end of halves and games signal to me that he is actually pretty profoundly clueless for an NFL Head Coach. He has a long way to go and I don't have much faith that he can get there - but I'm really hoping.

Yeah, interestingly it's like they have complete opposite problems as coach:

McD is the master tactician who had zero people skills or leadership ability.

VJ has great people skills but I question his strategic acumen.

My #1 concern. Well expressed--demonstrated lack of the elite acumen the HC position demands for NFL dynasty-dom.
