Default Verizon, NFL agree to new 5-year deal worth nearly $2.5 billion

One of the NFL's biggest sponsors is coming back.

Verizon will pay approximately $2.5 billion in a five-year deal with the NFL, sources told ESPN. That would be roughly twice the annual price of Verizon's previous deal with the league.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

This actually seems like a good deal for both sides. The NFL is lagging behind in how people are consuming media, so this is a step in the right direction. I've actually used the NFL mobile App quite a bit this year and I'm fairly happy with it.
