    I did not watch as much Mad Men as some, so I don't get the dramatic impact of the use of Tomorrow Never Knows, but it seemed the song so capsized the visual story.. but the windowpane heart scene was wow.

    @buff...if we focus on the overall effect and don't ask the music to exist within the drama itself, this is a moment in film that crushed me....

    One of the most underrated (imo) movies of all time, utilized music as well as any other. Almost Famous:





    That scene, at the beginning, sets the entire movie. .. .and it's the music that does it.


    Of course, can't forget this gem from the same movie:





    The band is at a cross-roads. At each other's throats. But the music they love brings them all together.


    Great movie. .. . Now I'm gonna have to stay up late watching it again tonight. Thanks Hawg.
