At this time, I can't really disagree with your take on VJ. I think at times he's looked lost on the sideline and he's definitely learning on the job. Will he learn enough to be a viable HC before he's fired here? I'm not sure.
He's made bad in game decisions. I can't agree with him continuing to run Mckenzie out there. So sick of the "good week of practice" comments. There is no question we are dealing with a rookie HC.
I can't agree that VJ is a bigger issue that McCoy, because the number one problem with the team is the offense, and that is squarely on McCoy. AS I said, if McCoy was made interim, then we would still have McCoy's offense, which is not working.
Going by memory here, but when they were interviewing both Musgrave and McCoy in the offseason for the OC job, I believe the speculation was that if they went with Musgrave, it was an indication that they wanted to go with Lynch as the starter in '17, and if they went with McCoy, that it was an indication that Siemian would likely be the starter.
Obviously, there was still going to be a competition, but the thinking was that Musgrave's west coast philosophy would be better suited for Lynch's athleticism, and McCoy's complicated offense would be better suited to Siemian's quick release and more cerebral style.
I only bring that up, because it might be a situation where they really want to go with Lynch, but feel he could not succeed with McCoy's scheme (especially considering how much the whole offense and other QBs struggled) and that Lynch could succeed with Musgrave's scheme.
Just a thought.
So many of our coaches suck that it's hard to tell which one needs to get fired. I like McCoy but when we hired him back I seriously had a wtf moment. Don't any of you remember the frustration of him here the first time?
Word on the street is Gruden hasn't closed the door on coaching again. Pipe dream but I'd love to see him here next year. Good teams have quality Head Coaches and we are severely lacking that. VJ is just awful all around, he won't be here long.

McCoy didn’t assemble this offense, that’d be John Elway and he’s been criminally negligent at a number of positions for years. Forget about putting TS at a constant health risk, Elway’s RT’s have been single-handedly sending pass rushers to the ProBowl for 5 years and counting. They stubbornly stick with Garcia for God only knows what reason, he’s never had a viable backup C while the starting C hadn’t practiced in years because he shouldn’t have been playing. LT would be the weak link on any other line.
They brought in McCoy knowing he’s a 3-Wide adherent and then give him jackshit for a 3rd WR, they’ve brought in everybody but my fat ass to play TE and literally none of them were worth a shit. And to top it off they’ve had nothing but petulant brats and timid bed wetters posing as “leaders”.
This is John Elway’s mess.
Nobody is saying McCoy is a mastermind, I sincerely hope y’all didn’t think that that’s what you were getting.

To be fair, Watson didn't feel like a bad signing.
He hasn't lived up to expectations but at the time, it seemed like a decent signing.
Criminally negligent. LOL. Exaggerate much?

Elway has done nothing but fail at RT.
