It is his fault. Zero adjustments to the "talent" (for lack of a better word) we were fielding.

I dont think that's the thought process here. He was just a small fraction of a larger problem. He put the offense in bad situations by not adjusting enough to what he had. Some guys belueve their scheme is above all and will continue no matter what. When the play fails, it was always someone else's fault.

Thanks for setting everyone straight, cugel...

Elway criminally negligent = Offensive production is McCoy's fault.

Yea, I can see how those are on par.

Because personnel has no impact on production.

Please, let’s not pretend we know an “adjustment” if it kicked us in the teeth.

Ahhh, I think I'm seeing where you are going with this. It was actually Musgrave's offense and play calling, and VJ lied about it being McCoy so he could fire him, use him as a scapegoat and protect the guy he has under his thumb, Musgrave.

Ok, I can see where you are coming from now.

I'm not sure why you would claim that personnel has no impact on production. That's a silly contention. Of course it does, but it's also incumbent on coordinators to devise schemes to maximize the production from the talent on the team.

I had high hopes. He failed. I'm not absolving any of the other coaches (or players), but it's a good start.

Is everything ok? You've been a bit on edge lately. I'm surprised you would go after Joe like this, Ninja last night. Can we help in any way?

I’m not saying it has no impact, I'm using sarcasm to say Elway’s personnel **** ups had a huge impact on McCoys lack of production.

You’re the one suggesting that the lack of offensive production was all on McCoy, therefor you’re the one suggesting that personnel had no impact on production.

Come on dude, don't back track now. You stated, and I quote, "Because personnel has no impact on production" (see your actual quote below).

I think it's crazy for you to contend that personnel has no impact on production, but I guess the point you were trying to make is that a good scheme can overcome poor talent.

I don't think so, Jaded has made it very clear that he says what he means, means what he says, and that anyone that doesn't understand it has mental defects.
