That's the least of our worries right now. If that happened to Brady there would have been 10 flags on the ground. Talk about hypocrisy, but realize that your very own qb gets special treatment. In the end, there weren't any flags, so why the **** bust our chops when we have lost 5 games in a row and could give 2 shits about that one non call in the bigger scheme of things

We aren't really sure that the 2011 draft was his final say, he wasn't the GM yet. Might have been, but it also might not have been his call. After that it's a bunch of good defense draft picks (the argument has been he can't draft offense) mixed in with a few good late round picks like Paradis, Siemian, etc.

His 2nd through 5th rounders were really bad 2013 - 2015, 2016 and 2017 are a bit too early to judge.

A Patriots fan coming in here on their soapbox about roughing the passer....it's comical. You know damn well, this same guy would have been screaming at his TV if that would have been Brady.

One thing I do agree with, the NFL is watered down with flags, but they are very inconsistent at it. This play was a perfect example of it. As you say, GEM, it's interesting MN decided to focus on this. LoL

Here is my problem with this team right now - they lied about who they were. As fans we are given a set of expectations each season from the owners on down. Elway, VJ, and other all came out and with a straight face said we were still in a Championship Window even though it sure didn't feel like it even the year we actually won one. Since Manning started struggling going all the way back to the Rams game a few years ago you can see the problems he was covering up for on offense start to show. Elway did a masterful job of retooling the defense and getting a better coaching staff in here because I think he saw the writing on the wall. And it worked! For one magical year...

Since Manning left we have seen a defense that has cracked under the weight of a bad team. We have see a bad oline get worse. We have seen special teams be less than special. Our true championship window closed on February 7, 2016 and the quicker the Broncos could have admitted that to the fans and even the players the better off we could have been.

I realize now that despite what I "wanted" to happen, we have been in rebuild mode for 2 seasons now and what is happening now should have started sooner. Kubiak and Wade leaving complicated things, but make no mistake we are just not where we were a few years ago.

I'm seeing lots here calling for change for change sakes but I don't think that is the way to go quite yet. If you look at this team as what it truly is as a organization in rebuild mode then it is amazing we won three games. I do think we need to make some on-field personnel changes (Like BENCHING Isiah McKenzie) and probably axing Brock Olivo, but I think the coaching staff is not the root of our problems but they are definitely a symptom. The last thing I want right now is more change. I just want some honesty about what this team is from Elway and the rest. I reset my expectations a few weeks ago and I must say it feels much better because it is not a surprise that we lost to two Super Bowl caliber teams because that is what we are the farthest thing from right now.

The rest of the season I am willing to kick back and just see what needs to stay and what needs to go. I'm just not going to lie to myself anymore and expect them to win until they get some crap figured out.

That is BS and most independent or neutral observer would dispute that flags would have been thrown if that was Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. Moreover, that wouldn't be Brady because he essentially never leaves the pocket. If he scrambles, it is straight ahead because he is a slow white QB.

Again, BS but go ahead and continue believing and telling yourself(ves) that if it makes you feel better.

Honestly, not trying to bust your balls GEM or anyone's balls for that matter. Just ironic that a number of posters on here complain about the pussification/wussification of the NFL by all the tick tack penalties called for minor pushes, helmet brushes, etc. Yet, when the Broncos QB is slightly pushed and trips, those same posters are screaming for a penalty.

BTW, NO I would not have been screaming for a penalty if that had happened to Brady. I honestly didn't see any bad calls last night that went for or against either team. I thought the officiating crew did a really pretty good job compared to a lot of the games I have seen this season!

The play deserved a flag. That's the end of the story. If that offends you, I won't lose sleep over it.

"The Brady rule". Enough said. BS indeed!

It's not about wussification, it's about consistently enforcing rules. I don't care which way they go, as long as they are consistent. They aren't, and haven't been for a while.

Again, if you want to be focused on that one call, feel free, but we all know that the call made almost 0 difference. None of us are butt-hurt about it, why are you?

I was going to go through the drafts when I had a chance, so I'm glad you did it for me. It's pretty brutal when you look at it - from 2012 on (Elway's first "real" draft), how many "good" or better offensive players have been drafted? I see Paradis and ... that's probably it. We got more out of Siemian than we reasonably should have from a seventh round pick, but it looks like that bubble burst. And I like CJ Anderson more than most here (undrafted) but really, this is a pretty damning list. Good franchises stay good by drafting well. Our FA spending spree won us a Super Bowl but it's been diminishing returns since then because we have no young guys coming in to back it up, especially on offense as we can see from this list.

It looked to me like Osweiler was trying to draw a flag. He flopped.

He definitely flopped. People trying to say that should have been a flag are being homers IMO. A soccer player would have been proud of that flop.

I'm not denying he flopped, but trying to draw a flag is irrelevant. There was more contact than just the shove, and it was all unnecessary.

But I'm not going to discuss it any longer as I've already admitted that it made no difference.

Granted, not all the 90+ points were on the defense the last two weeks, but overall, the defense has sucked the last two games. Not the time to be bragging about how great you are.

I was focusing on the hypocrisy if posters who claim that the NFL QBs should start wearing skirts because the NFL officials are calling penalties against defenders for minor pushes, inadvertently brushing the QB's head, etc.. Yet those a number of those same posters where screaming for a roughing call when the QB was given a minor shove, tripped over his own feet and fell to the ground. Just like you and I want to see consistency from the NFL's officials, I want to see consistency from the posters too. Now I know that asking for and expecting consistency from any NFL team's fan base is ludicrous, but I can hope can't I.
