In OKC we built a stadium and then sent the billionaire to steal a team. That's the way you do it. OKC>Seattle

I keep telling HIM this, but try telling anyone <30 the world didn't begin the day they were born. Anyway, the Cardinals started out in Chicago, IIRC, so if it weren't for cities stealing teams St. Louis never would've had ANY pro football team (maybe the USFL?) In that respect, the Rams just restored the original status quo when they went back to their first adoptive home.

Rule of thumb: If some of "your" teams players were "born in the 1800s" and remember when they WEREN'T yours, claiming exclusive eternal hosting rights is absurd.

Here's how it worked (and why it didn't:) The Rams owner wanted a shiny new stadium with lots of pricey skyboxes to sell and other pro sports plus conventions to host in the offseason, so St. Louis, still raw from losing the Cardinals built them one; when that shiny new stadium got as dumpy and old as the last one, the new owner once again wanted a new one. Wait 20 years for their current "new" stadium to become "obsolete," then build new one to get back "your" team (even if it's not the same one.)

In the mean time, stop pretending everyone old enough to remember multiple presidents is an irrelevant relic.
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded

I knew they were originally the Chicago Cardinals but I'm only 44. I remember watching Neil Lomax and Roy Green in STL.
