If Vance Joseph can convince his old coworker Hue Jackson (assuming he gets fired) to join him in Denver as our offensive coordinator, I might be okay with 1 more year depending on how this one finishes.

As much as I've despised this season, I'd be surprised if Joseph wasn't back next season. John will bring in a new starting QB, improve the line, and then give VJ the chance to sink or swim. VJ needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror and correct the many mistakes he made this season.

If we win out and go 7-9 then I'd feel fairly certain Joseph gets another year. If we finish 0-3 in these remaining games and have some more embarrassing moments - I feel totally confident that he gets fired.
I do not think that Elway has made up his mind that VJ stays - but I think he has some forces working in his favor, primarily the fact that 1.) There aren't any sure-fire candidates that we have our eye on. 2.) Rebuilding an entire coaching staff is not easy, let alone doing it in successive offseasons, and there are all the dead money implications of those contracts.
In other words VJ is aided mostly by inertia - not really anything that he himself has done to save his job.

He is also a good talent evaluator (or so weve been told)....I will say that so far this could be our best draft yet (assuming the guys that went on IR come back as good as advertised....And maybe Mckenzie stops trying to impersonate Trindon.
