VJ was not a good coach. He was never going to be a good coach. He wasn't a good DC either. Maybe he is a good position coach, I have no idea. Many people fail up. That is VJ. Seems like a nice guy with CU ties, but lets not memorialize him with all these platitudes. I'm glad he's gone, never wanted him to be on our staff, and he pretty much met my expectations.

Man, if someone was like "good morning, VJ," you'd probably scream at them for memorializing VJ.

Sometimes you have to fail in order to eventually succeed.
For VJ, that horizon of success exists only on a flat earth model.

Nah - only if we had just signed him and we self-styling with Joe Montana comparisons.

Plus, we don't really know because we haven't (one day, soon hopefully) purged the man.

I’m glad we can all agree to come here and memorialize with platitudes of all the great things VJ did for us as fans, and what a good dude is was, and still is.

I'm told the #Cardinals are planning to hire Vance Joseph as defensive coordinator, per sources. They are still in discussions on a deal.

Thanks to MasterShake for my great signature

Oh man, that twitter feed is GOLD. Just solid gold. One guy was excited and said that Joseph was a "superb" coordinator. When questioned on it, he said that Joseph led a miami defense to the playoffs....

Others saying very similar things about how he's a solid veteran coordinator and such, all because Miami made the playoffs that year.

Nevermind the fact that his "superb" coordinating left the Miami defense 29th ranked as a bottom 5 trash pile... LOL

More like a guy that was unqualified to be a participant. He knew the science existed and was that it was viable. He was just plain less-than. Not a flat earther as much as an NFL intern that was unfortunately viewed as competent and backed by an insider.

More like Elway was the flat Earther. Elway saw something that did not exist within the modern paradigm of the NFL and chose to force his vision on millions of fans and adherents to the 'Broncos' model of success, as he saw fit to define it. Intelligent coordinators, with a bounty of either experience or success was the round earth. VJ and his dearth of success as well as success was the flat Earth. Elway sold all of us the Flat Earth model for 3 years running. Even if we fought against it, we still swallowed it and wanted to believe in his flat Earth.

Luckily, he has subsequently hired a world traveler that is savvy enough to both explain that the world is not flat, while deftly dodging questions about his boss's former position on a flat earth. Said hire is so savvy, he has been able to dismiss the entire idea of a staff of flat-earthers that were supposedly the team that would guide him to the flat earth paradigm. We are all very lucky to be fans of a team managed by a man that can both intensely define the world as flat and be committed to hiring a person that is righteously removed from the illusion that the world is flat.

Elway is complicated, at best. VJ can at least find hope in the fact that most of NFL management are flat earthers, right?
