The concern for Bears tight end Zach Miller isn’t whether he’ll be able to play football; it’s whether or not he’ll be able to walk again.

Miller underwent emergency surgery Sunday night to repair his dislocated left knee in New Orleans. The procedure was “more significant” than a regular knee dislocation and surgeons were called in to save Miller’s left leg, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

Wow! I haven't seen the video but it's hard to imagine someone in their physical prime having to lose their leg from playing football. I thought the compartment syndrome thing with Rahim Moore was ridiculously crazy, this seems even more nuts. I wish him the best and hope he pulls through.

They were able to save his leg. I don’t know what that means for his football career.

I would have to think he is done with football but who knows... that being said, he's probably not worrying about that at the present moment, probably just happy he will have a leg.

Well, if he lost it, he would still have a leg. I'd guess he's probably happy to have TWO legs.

He's "progressing well" according to Fox. He is in the hospital here in New Orleans indefinitely, and Fox is unsure if there is nerve damage but said the doctor's concern was the vascular damage, which he also said has been repaired. He had a surgery Sunday night and another routine follow-up surgery to that one this morning.

If we all chipped in do you think you could run some flowers over to him from BroncosForums.com?

Sure. I have no idea what hospital he's in though.

I didn’t know Moore had compartment syndrome. First I heard about that was earlier this year. It does sound super odd.

I'd buy flowers and just go to Oschner, ask around, give them to a good looking nurse when I couldn't find Zach. Of course I'd say they were from all of us with a wink and a phone number.
