Then again, I have no idea how rules work.

WoW!
effin' redfaces. . .
I still can't get over how Doctson drops that TD...
The Redskins lost the game when they kicked the field goal instead of going for 4th and 2. They also kicked a field goal from the KC 1 yard line, and punted on 4th and 1 at least once.
If Gruden would have gone for the 4th and 2 and didn't get it, everyone would be criticizing him for losing the game on that play. Where is the criticism for kicking it and leaving KC with plenty of time to just easily move down the field for a game winning FG? Why would you trust your defense to stop KC more than you would trust your offense to gain 2 yards?
The bigger problem was taking the timeout before third down with 0:57 left. Especially if they knew their next play call was the end zone pass for Doctson. They could have run it down to about 0:30 before snapping. Or they still had three TO left and could have used the clock any way they wanted if they ran or threw a shorter pass. None of this would matter if he held on to the ball, though.
I had the same thought because you could tell the timeout wasn't well thought out. Gruden was kind of scrambling to call a play and needed to buy himself more time. The optimal strategy would have been to let the clock run down further, or simply try to convert the first down on 3rd and 2 instead of throwing deep into the endzone (especially because they had 2 timeouts remaining). I think Crowder was open short on that play... Of course all of this is moot if Doctson holds onto the ball - but I think that's kind of the point, it was a low percentage pass.
Hey, Cam Newton, I understand that BET is going to show the mini-series "Routes". Interested?
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
I was thoroughly disgusted with the way Cam spoke to that woman. I thought it was an excellent question.
After the way Cam pouted after the SB loss im not shocked at all by his comments. But im sure the media and his coaches will defend him because it would just be unfair to pick on poor ol' Fig Newton.
HAHAHA! Tommy Boy picked by a Bucs rookie. Sweet!!
I've picked every Thursday game against the spread wrong so far this year.
