brian hoyer to nobody isn't exactly going to generate a high powered passing attack. . . not if bill walsh came back to lead it, let alone mini-shanny. . .

harbaugh inherited guys like justin smith, patrick willis and navorro bowman. . . today's niners have bowman on his last legs, and basically nothing else. . .

This ... is not as crazy as it sounds. They're definitely trending in the right direction. The 49ers are progressing, but they're 0-3. The Cardinals look like a mess this year. And the Seahawks are always slow starters, but they appear to be in a bigger funk than usual. Also:
