Jimmy Garoppolo’s deal with the #49ers averages a league-high $27.5 million over five years with total guarantees totaling $74 million, per source.

The 49ers and QB Jimmy Garoppolo have agreed to a five-year, $137.5 million contract, source says. The biggest deal in NFL history on a average-per-year basis.

Oh my. And now my ~$70 guaranteed for Cousins just got blown out of the water...
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I'm kind of hoping they pony up, because the quarterbacks available to them at 5 aren't very good.

    I wouldn't mind a trade-up to grab Rosen.

If he's actually as good as that contact would suggest, then they were stupid to get rid of him.

They probably should have offered to mentor him more.

Not a lot of options there, unless you trade TB12

I agree but then there is ryan mallett and a few others.

Brady and Meatball are the only two good ones.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Same, if im Denver i take my shot now with Cousins instead of gambling on a QB who hasnt done anything at the pro level. In comparison for what it will cost down the road what Cousins gets now will be cheap in comparison.
