Steelers released a tweet stating he was taken by ambulance to trauma center, no further updates will be made.
That don't sound good, usually they would say he had movement in extremities.

I hope families brought their children to this gladiatorial bloodbath...
This commentator is just looking to jinx Boswell.
Encouraging words coming out about Shazier. Spinal contusion, need to wait for swelling to go down. Tommy Maddox had same injury, out one game and no long term effects. One person said, "much better than it could have been. "
So happy to read these comments, it's been heavy on my mind tonight. Never want to see anything like that.

The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
Update on Shazier this morning, they said the CT and MRI showed the spinal contusion Gem mentioned, he is improving, has movement in his lower extremities and should heal fine.
Personally, I think the Juju block/taunt is much worse for the game than what Gronk did. I actually don't think what Gronk did is that big of a deal - he momentarily lost his temper and took a shot at a guy who he thought was cheating. It's obviously a foul, and he probably deserves the suspension, but I can sort of understand how he just went over the edge... It happens.
Whereas the Juju hit, IMO, exemplifies the toxic type of play that they're trying to remove from the game. Then to stand over a guy who just incurred a head injury as a result of your intent to deliver pain, shows a level of malice that wasn't present with Gronk.
Anyway - I'd suspend Juju multiple games, but I don't think there is precedent for that.
AFC North is just Crips and Bloods. Gooning it up - yeah, that will bring the fans back. If the leagues didn't encourage it, why do they keep drafting all these reprobates? So a few get crippled for life? Big deal. They can always draft a replacement. That's why I've always said the technology must make the game safer, not policing the players because the ones who break the rules wind up rewarded (notice the AFC playoff standings lately? - a who's who of the thugs and rule-breakers).
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
