In my day, we had to walk to school in the snow, during a solar eclipse, uphill both ways...

The university closed campus for liability to students while letting a lot of travelers use campus to view it - they're making a ton of money. It is, as they say, a fiscal treasure.

I'm in Omaha. Not quite in totality, but just outside of it. It's supposed to be packed here!

We're watching it during school. Can't wait to see which dumbass kids decide to take the glasses off and stare into the sun.

I'm taking my 1st grader out of school and going to make my way North to St. Joes. Its about 30 to 45 min from the house, and suppressed 2 to be super close to the totality zone.

I didnt trust that his teacher was going to keep all 15 kids' glasses on for the full length of time they are outside. He just got real glasses last week and takes them on and off every minute.

On a side note, i think the schools in Eudora got fake glasses. Sucks to be them.

That's a shame. You may not experience this again in your lifetime.

Denver get's around a 93% eclipse. My daughter in Casper is going to see a near 100%. It's eerie...

I might walk outside with a couple 3x5 cards. We're between 75-80%. Really though, I'm not too concerned.
