MMA is a better product. It is infinitely more entertaining, and the thing you ding it for (it's multifaceted talent pool) is one of the things that make it so entertaining. Watching a grappler vs. a kickboxer try to clear the strategic hurdles that those two oposing styles create is breath taking entertainment.

All combat sports are crooked. I watched MMA for a long time - my guy was Liddell. Watching him not get taken down and punch a guy in the face who sucks at striking got old. Then, then guys who could strike beat his ass.

the alternate to that view would be that he got old and you can only take so many shots to the head before you become knockout prone.

And my response is that the old boxer just beat the young stallion from MMA. Which leads me back to the purity of boxing. Which is why Al offended me so deeply.

MMA is a dying gimmick "sport". Dana White knew this when he sold the UFC off. It's been dropping in value ever since he sold it. Smart guy, got out at the right time. Boxing will still be around long after MMA fades into obscurity.

I don't agree Wave. The UFC is becoming a major player globally.

Dana White didn't sell anything. He's the face of the UFC, but he didn't own it. He still has the same role.

It's a reported fact that the UFC's value has gone down since the sale. They had a really rough year especially since Rousey fell off.
