Does the ref carry a bag of spare pucks like how a ump carries baseballs?
It was too distracting. I wouldn't mind seeing some version of it repurposed for shots on goal only - it was kind of cool to instantly see how fast the shot was, and that's really the only time I ever lose the puck momentarily.
I remember the Avalanche couldn't kill the lights for their intro during the playoffs because it messed with Fox's infrared cameras.
yeah, the extra pucks are kept cold in the scorekeepers area. The pucks are kept cold because once the warm up they get bouncy.
The ref's always keep a set of balls in their pants though.
The Fox puck tracker. LMAO This is the broadcasting that repeatedly state how they can tell what kind of pitch was thrown by looking at the way the seams turn on a ball going between 70-100 mph but they couldn't see a black ******* puck on white ice.
