If all three OT are there at 20, I don't know why we'd take Ramczyk over Robinson ...

    I agree.

I'm surprise he has John Ross so high. I also don't believe that Mac is a top 10 pick. I know every mock in the world has him going to CAR, but I don't see it.

    Slimgator, two thoughts.

    1. Ross isn't as undersized as this pervasive bias has us believing. He's 5'11", 190#. If you screen active WRs in the NFL, he's not particularly different than the average. There are lots of dudes with his build that are exceptional in the NFL. He's no 6'4" Brandon Marshall-esque dude, or DT, or Julio, etc., but he's not a dwarf either. He's an excellent high-pointer with great vert. And none have that speed. Add to the fact that he produces the hell out of some sportball, you got a real weapon. This dude is a legit NFL fvk-u-up weapon. That speed isn't show-pony speed. It's functional. He straight up murders quality DBs. The only thing is you worry about the injuries, but tell you what, he finished his season this year and produced.

    2. C-Mac at 8. I keep trying to calm down the hype, but this is what keeps him at 8 for me:

    a. Jersey sales
    b. Locker room
    c. Off-field
    d. Create own plays

It's not just Denver that is hype about C-Mac. Nearly every blog in the blogosphere is experiencing some C-Mac hype. Fans want his jersey. Idk if it's the Eminem effect or what it is, but this is a micro-phenomenon. Owners and business folks are attuned to that, and it's a legit selling point for a prospect. Hype the franchise.

Then you look at the Cam-as-whiny-birch factor. You want the McCaffrey no-nonsense leadership to complement Cam's frownbot-ego-downer factor. As a coach.

As a GM it's a safe pick..good metrics, production, and absence of red flags.

Then look at needs, and you have a great fit. I can't be talked out of it now.

I like Ross but I think the medicals scare teams off a bit. I have him out of the first round but I'm a know nothing rube, so I'm probably wrong.

I can't tell, either. If I was GM, I'd take the risk with a 1 if he fit. 4.22 just doesn't happen, and it's real football-translatable speed, not combine-prep work. You can't manufacture that as an NFL team. He raises the roof of the defense.

But those medicals.. . wish I knew more--had the doctors opinions and such. I figure the dude got the job done last year, so it would have to be solid evidence and not just doctor-babble.

Probably because Robinson will likely end up being a guard in the next 2-3 years.

Ramczyk is the one that intrigues my amateur opinion. I think Bolles can be adequate until Elway eventually finds an All-Pro LT to replace him...I think Robinson's best future would be to move to OG...but it's hard to really form an opinion on Ramczyk. I think he needs the most development time of the three, but could certainly end up being the best of the group. Or the worst.

Bolles seems to have a lot of upside, some analysts think Pro bowl upside. They think he has elite feet. He could probably add 10-15 pounds and not lose any quickness or bend

Which is perfect, draft Robinson, he plays at least adequate and then sign Nate Full of Hate Solder and move Robinson to RT or RG.

You are in fine form today, Jaded. In your element. Aren't you glad you didn't take your toys and go home?
