I doubt anybody signs him before the draft. Whoever does will use him primarily as a on-the-field role-model for the younger RBs. His rushing attempts for the season will be no more then double digits, possible fewer then the number of rushing TDs that Ezekiel Elliott will have for the Cowboys.

Free agent running back Adrian Peterson is set to sign a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

Peterson told Anderson he is set to sign for $3.5 million guaranteed for the first season, $1 million in salary and the rest in a signing bonus.

The second year of the deal is not guaranteed, but carries a $3.5 million salary and various bonuses, according to the report.

While the details are still being finalized, Peterson sounded enthused.
