Default McCaffrey ran a 4.4 at the combine.

That is flying. Lets just prevent the Pats from drafting him by drafting him and to hell with the tacos we need.

This a Mccaffrey thread. A bit more specific than the general combine. If only I could have seen a highlight outside of the combine I guess.

He ran closer to a 4.5 btw, which although fast, isn't exactly flying. Top end speed is not his game, flying through cuts and changes of direction is. I don't think he lasts to 20.

    *4.48.

Leonard Fournette ran a 4.51. He's 40 pounds heavier. I'm more impressed with that. But who cares? You're not drafting McCaffrey because of a 40 time.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Damnit Mo, pay attention to the thread tittle. This is about McCaffreys 4.48 40.

I would love to have McCaffery become a Bronco.

I would too. He's an interesting player and I think an OC like McCoy could come up with creative ways to use him.

I like that too. He is projected to not be there at 20. I do not think he has the versatility of McCaffrey. McC returns kicks etc. He can easily line up in the slot and create some real match up problems.

I think Fournette, due to his weight mainly has slower feet between the tackles. His hands are not as good.

My assumption for draft is that QBs will fall. Teams will reach for OL. Elway will need to trade up. I think McCaffery will be 3rd or 4th RB off board and there will be a run QBs mid to late in 1st and could push McCaffrey to us.

Forget the 40, this is his strength.

I would love to see him in Denver. Get some playmakers on offense.

Yeah, that is picture perfect. Personally, I would rather them take him in the first round. I think his stock just rose significantly today as a result of his outstanding numbers. The combine sometimes truly comes through for some players.

I would take him and then hope they can land some O linemen later in the draft and/or FA.

How the heck did this turn into a hyperlink?
