ESPN layoffs to hit on-camera personalities

ESPN will lay off some of the personalities who appear on TV, radio and online.

The cuts will only affect "talent" -- not rank-and-file employees, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The details are still being finalized, but layoffs are expected to take place through June.

    ======================

Talent in quotation marks... I'm sure some of you have some suggestions.

So I guess this means that I won't be putting in my resume to ESPN?

It better not be Sage Steele or Suzy Kolber.

Since ESPN has gone All-Social-Justice-All-The-Time, being a "Self-Advocating Aspie" probably gives you a leg up finding work there. If you can add some Tourette's Syndrome to your resume, you could be a candidate to replace Skip Bayless.

    Thanks

    Tourette’s Syndrome

I grew up having a “facial tic,” a trademark attribute of Tourette’s, where I would involuntarily raise my
upper lip and touch my nose. I have also have a high tolerance for pain, but low tolerance for heat. I did
not do the research to learn this about myself until I noticed a significant percentage of the Autistic adults
that I knew also have prior diagnoses of Tourette’s.

The following list of attributes from the National Tourette’s Syndrome Association website: http://www.tsausa.org/aMedical/Faqs.html
You will find that virtually every Autistic has most, if not all, of these same attributes to some extent.

    Obsessions
    Compulsions and Ritualistic Behaviors
Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity
    Learning Disabilities
    Difficulties with impulse control
    Sleep Disorders

I've always thought it would be kinda cool to be able to call women "whore" and "douche" and be able to blame my disability for saying it. Nothing like saying something offensive *and* making the offended party feel guilty about getting offended.

I assuming you're joking, but I'm a bit sensitive to this line of humour because there are so many who really do try to use their diagnosis as a get out of jail free card. I've literally heard & read the "lack of social skills" being used to excuse everything from computer hacking to rape. So if you wouldn't, please don't use this line of humor with me again because I really do find it detestable.

"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

Yeah she went off on twitter over something a few months ago. Plus she looks like a bitch.
