sorry to say this North but you have a freeloader on your hands. It wouldn't be bad if he would at least do the things that needed to be done but he isn't, and it may lead to endangering your family. You need to sit him down and tell him you need him to find somewhere else to live and if that means ruining a pretty on-way friendship, then be it.
