Thread: LTC Pain's 5 Round Broncos Mock Draft

My stab at what the Broncos might do. Didn't dig into the 6th/7th rounds much but figure we add a CB, DE and developmental QB in those rounds.

1st Round/#20 – Haason Reddick, ILB, 6'1⅜"/226, Temple

2nd Round/#51 – Evan Engram, TE, 6’3”/234, Mississippi

3rd Round/#82 – Antonio Garcia, OT, 6’6”/302, Troy

3rd Round/#101 – Carlos Watkins, NT, 6’3”/312, Clemson

4th Round/#127 – Joe Mixon, RB, 6’1”/226, Oklahoma

5th Round/#177 – Cooper Kupp, WR, 6’1”/198, Eastern Washington

Do you think Mixon will be there that late? Last word i heard is his stock has risen to where he wont get passed the 2nd or 3rd.

Yeah I don't think there is any shot Mixon drops that far. Would love Engram in the 2nd, that would be a nice pick. Don't know much about Reddick.

I've seen Reddick go at #9 in a recent mock.

Not sure Northman. I've read Mixon is off some team boards and what you said that his stock has risen.

I don't put much stock into it when people say "he's off a bunch of teams boards". He could be off 31 of the 32 boards, but if that one team really likes him, he could still go early. And if two teams like him and both teams know it, he could definitely go in the first few rounds.

Anyone know if the Broncos interviewed Mixon?

I do not believe so. It hasn't been reported at least.

I hope he drops to the point where Denver can't NOT draft him, because I think that's the only way it happens.

IIRC, Mixon could not go to the combine because of some "domestic violence" sop to feminist groups but has already had his Pro Day at OU and was said to be very impressive. Explosive runner when he gets though the line. I'd take him the third day but e isn't lasting that long and I don't want the PR fallout of taking him earlier.

Yeah, those damn feminists, being upset about him literally beating the shit out of a woman on tape. (And yes, it's on tape, something tells me if you saw it you'd understand why people have a problem with him).

She was probably a money grabber who set him up.

Engram reminds of me of a WR size TE who can block. I would like to see a bigger TE as red zone threat. But i like the picks. Kupp is flying up boards.
