Default NT Post Combine 3 Round Mock

First off i think elway will fill all holes and needs with warm bodies in FA, therefore freeing up all draft options. This draft look deep on defense, RB and TE. But the showing the DB did at combine i am thinking QBs slip and there is a run on the defense in round 1. I also think teams like Colts will reach for top tackles because they are desperate. With tackles slipping ad well so good options at RT on day 2.

    Round 1

    Christian McCaffery, RB Stanford
I am going wity him because i think the weak LT class and top options will be gone. And he is a great fit for McCoy. He will be that slot receiver and back up to cj. He also will fill that gaping hole at returner.

    Round 2

    Julie'n Davenport OT bucknell
6'7" 310lb long arms at 36" 5.45s 40, 27" vert and 106" broad. 3 year starter at LT but i would suspect plug in at RT and if he slides over then great. He also met with broncos.

    Round 3
    Eliaja Qualls, DT Washington
6'2" 293lb. 5.13s 40, 31.5" vert and 105" broad. 33 rep. A danny sheldon clone. Is a little thin for 3-4 nose Tackle but strong at point of attack. Has frame to add on some weight. Broncos also met with.

    Jake Butt, TE michigan
6'6" 250lb did not workout at combine due to ACL injury but before injury he was considered possibly best TE. He is not as athletic as howard but he is sure handed and has ideal size. I think this size is perfect for a red zone target and space eater in middle of field. He says he is ahead of recovery schedule. He is my sleeper at TE.

Just so hard to do before positions are filled in FA

I agree. Elway fills all holes.

Danny Shelton is 350 pounds. I'm not quite ready to call him a clone of Shelton, although he is a good football player. I wonder what his arm length is?

They played together and are work out partners. Same coaches as well so similar playing styles.

In a few years, Qualls will be a stud in this league. Just a hunch.

I know I sound like Jaded here, but does he have the arm length to play NT at the next level?

Geno Atkins has no arm length. John Randle had no arm length. It matters, but it doesn't matter sometimes. It's the mystery of life.

Those guys are 3 techs, but still a good point. They were also highly explosive. I don't think Qualls is a penetrator.

I know that Atkins sometimes did lineup at the 4-3 nose spot, but to be fair those were some strange plays.
