The first step toward keeping the McCaffrey bloodline in Denver will occur Thursday.New Broncos head coach Vance Joseph revealed that the team is set to interview Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
"This kid's a really good football player. You watch this kid and he's pro's pro," Joseph said.

While Denver doesn't have an overwhelming need at the position, McCaffrey's talent could be too good to pass up. The son of former Broncos receiver Ed McCaffrey amassed 2,327 all-purpose yards in 2016, establishing himself among the nation's top players.
A moveable chess piece, McCaffrey can line up all over the formation -- in the backfield, the slot, or out wide. He possesses a solid build (6-foot, 200 pounds), elite athleticism, and excellent vision. He's expected to run the much-discussed forty-yard dash in 4.5 seconds or better.
