Players like Tony Carter are why it's harder for me to hate guys who made one or two really big screwups, but were otherwise decent enough players, like Rahim and Hillman. Carter was just legitimately awful all the time, and made so many bad plays that cost us a bunch of points over multiple years. To me, that's much more detestable than guys like Hillman and Moore who have one or two notable really big screwups, but were otherwise productive.
Because he hurt Buff's delicate little feelers by saying something on Twitter about how some Broncos fans are "fake fans" or something like that. Because as an adult male, there is no worse insult than someone questioning your sports fanhood! This is really important stuff we're talking about here!
He never "got it". Any NFL player who petulantly lashes out at fans has no idea of their station in life - so that alone is a death sentence. He went Jay Cutler on the denver fan base while still on the team - so there's that. His mental error against New England was inexcusable for a pro - also could be a fireable offense. And he was never remorseful or anything - he was just a defiant punk kid who thought the world owed him something. Plus in interviews he was never engaging - just a guy mailing it in, punching the clock, at all times.
