Joel, the Browns have invest a lot of picks on that line, and FA signings, too. That goes back to 2006 when they signed Steinbach. But hey, some people know that you don't build a line with ONLY first rounders.

Look where their picks in totality have gone, as well as their money. They've had a 'great' line with 'great' talent on it for a long, long time.

Yeah, he's that Malik Jackson type monster. It would do the same thing for this team that signing D-Ware did a few years ago. Also: if Elway can keep Romo alive long enough to reach a SB this year, that'd be 3 SB appearances in 5 years with 3 different coaches. I know the Broncos are Elway's Team, but Jesus H Elway, that'd be impressive.

Yeah, no: Scan 64 starting OTs and you'll always be able to find a few Tom Bradys, Russell Wilsons and Dak Prescotts—especially if you count "tackles" starting at GUARD because they SUCKED as tackles. But you can't COUNT on "coaching up" 3rd rounders at high demand positions, else everyone would trade their 1st and 2nd round picks for a half dozen 3rds.

Anyway, if the Leary deal goes through that's a good signing, and if it's for $8M/yr Elway's officially pried open the teams wallet for an offensive lineman (Hell, he may even have overpaid; on the other hand, if it's $8M for 3-4 years Leary got mugged, which is fine by me.) It won't help much on the edges though, and with everyone saying this draft sucks at OT but is good at G I was kinda hoping we'd sign OTs and draft Gs, not the reverse.

At this point though, I'll take any legit blocking help we can get, and bet CJ and Siemian agree.

I'd imagine they go to the next tier of DL, like Chris Baker. Though if we're going big, I'd make a run at Hightower.

If you want to reach a SB and you're deciding between J-Ville and Denver, you've already made the deal. It's just a question of whether home + a SB is worth 7 figures in lesser salary and increased state taxes (since FL doesn't have them). If I'm his agent I make sure he knows that as a local Denver talent coming home he can increase his post-career marketability in Denver in ways he can't in Jacksonville, and it will make up the difference.

Jacksonville throwing that money around. Bouye is going to cost big bucks. Him and Ramsey in the same secondary will be nice. If only they had a viable QB ...
