Sounds like he's just throwing shit against the wall and hoping it sticks. Previously he said he'd love to play in Dallas and that he might take a discount for the Patriots. All of that leads me to believe there will be a tepid market for his services.

he's 32 years old, has about a million miles on him, doesn't function in the passing game, and looked like he was done last year. . . he's one of the all-time greats at the position, but i think his run's about over. . . good luck to him if he thinks anyone besides minnesota is going to pay for his name, reputation, or past accomplishments. . . free agency is rarely kind to aging running backs. . .
