If the OL is going to be fixed THIS year, it's going to be done in free agency. None of the top lineman inspire most teams right now. If Cook is available...and I'd be shocked if he is...and no other significant areas of need are on the board, you have to go with him. And he would be RB 1a...not RB3. I love CJ, but Cook brings an exceptional dynamic to an offense AND he's genuinely a good kid to boot.

Coach, what's the deal with his entourage? + agree, you don't let him go by at 20...

The best player AVAILABLE is the best in the draft: You can't draft what was never there. Unfortunately the best, 2nd best and even 5th best is almost GUARANTEED to be gone by #20; you can't expect over a DOZEN NFL scout teams to make that MANY mistakes, nor half the league to reach with a prime pick. So you get the best player LEFT. The best leftOVER, if that's more clear. The Best Player AVAILABLE isn't on the table, because he never was unless you want to trade into the top 5.
    Yup, I was right.

You are wasting your breath with that one...I've tried pointing how many starters were drafted mid to back of the draft and he beats his neverending drum that you have to draft linemen in the first or early second round...

Joel, this has gotta be the dumbest thing I've read from you...

Best player Available is the best player available at the pick you currently reside at. Meaning if players #1,2,3,4 are taken and #5 is the best available, that's who you grab... If we are drafting for BPA instead of need and he's the best player on the board, he'd be the best available at the time of our pick...

I think a lot of kids coming out of college have these "entourages" at first. What they really are is a bunch of leeches just waiting for him to get paid so that they can cash in too. If he goes to the right organization, with good leadership in the locker room...he'll be fine. The bonus is that he doesnt have any personal character issues. He just knocks up girls and hangs with some stupid people.

It gets even better, be patient. Soon it'll be time to trade Von Miller, or some shit.

I meant if he is there at 20, he will be the best athlete in the draft FOR THE BRONCOS.

Although, I do think it is possible he could be the best player. I am talking for the Broncos draft pick at 20.

This draft is stacked at RB there is no need to waste a 1st round pick on one. With OL issues, Webster likely leaving (Need a nickel CB), NT, DE, ILB, TE there are plenty of other positions that could be addressed with #20.

RB has turned into a plug and play position in the NFL, I don't think any of them are worth a 1st round pick.
