Keep thinking of how elway is going to fix our offense. One thing i know is that the OL will be revamped and shuffled during off season.

Question is how big of a splash will he make in FA.

Looking at the draft the more i think about how only our WR duo and cj anderson are set as starters at skill positions. QB is between our two young QBs. I know we need a slot WR and a TE. Derby was decent as a rookie.

I am thinking of a DL and OT do not fall to in first round McCaffery will be a great addition as x factor for offense. He is listed as a RB but has good hands to line in the slot. He is a great returner. He can be that change of pace back. The only downside I see if elway gives his picks time to develop and we just drafted booker. Would give us great depth at Rb but might go pass happy in new offense.

Lack of OT in this draft does not want elway reaching for one if we can get good FA pick ups to revamp the line. Okung needs to restructure. Stephenson and sombrailo need to walk. And both guards could use an upgrade. FA has some depth at G coming. Problem is there are no LT options really and only a few RT. Like to see a new RT stop gap and a new pro bowl caliber G or 2 picked up. Shore up the middle and take pressure off okung to need to help the LG.

Go all out for Zeitler and Walker and restructure Okung and your line just improved immensely.

Coach did you mean Wagner instead of Walker? Warford?

I've heard a lot of hype about Warford, the Detroit guard. I've heard price tag will be from $5.3 to $10m.

Holy balls...that's $19mm on two dudes, leaving just $4m in pocket change unless they can restructure Okung. But it would be a massive improvement. Would like to see them get someone to improve the middle of the D line along with Wolfe and Walker.

Kind of curious where your math is coming from. Even at an AAV of 19 mil for those two, the entire amount wouldnt immediately apply to the cap. But even if it did, how do you figure we only have 23 mil in space? Even before restructures and releases and carry over, we are at 33 mil. With carry over and some restructuring, we could be at 40 mil+ when it's all said and done. Structured correctly, we could have room for Zeitler, Wagner, Campbell and Poe and still have plenty left for rookies and depth signings.

And yes...I was assuming a restructure for Okung.

Was running off ozark's recent cap math article from MHR. The number I have stuck in my caw after all the mandatory (and mandatory-ish) signings is $23mm.

I'm not convinced this will happen, but I hope it does.

I like this a lot if you really think the numbers work.

Spotrac has a market estimate on Poe at 13mm!! Is that way off the mark, or what? Campbell at 8.2 seems like value. But Poe at 13mm?

Okung played for what was essentially chimp change for a LT last year. I'm not optimistic he'll continue down the team friendly path.

Kind of crazy to think that at this moment, Schofield and Garcia are the nucleus of the Broncos offensive line.

Paradis *should* be back after two hip surgeries.

Stephenson should be cut based on performance, unless new coaches see a better way to use him.

Okung doesn't deliver results consistent with eight-digit pay and is in contract limbo.

Sampro may never prove healthy or productive enough to start.

He negotiated himself a "prove it" deal on a 2-year option at $11½M each with a GM who pinches pennies on the line, then proved he's not worth it. I doubt he stays.

If we'd just had someone to coach up those guys they'd be fine. Maybe we should hire whoever coached up Paradis?
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded
